The Rainbow Room offers an open plan layout and caters for children from 6 weeks to 3 years old.

There is a secure access to an outside area where our youngest children can experience outdoor play in a safe environment. The children also have access to the outdoor grassed play area.

There are two rooms within the Rainbow Room: The Baby Room (for babies under 1 year old) and

The Tweenie Room (for children up till the age of 3 years old.

The Kindergarten uses the curriculum "Together We Can" produced by South Lanarkshire Council which is based on "Pre-birth to three" produced by the Scottish Government.

The staff members within the Rainbow Room recognise the importance of building relationships,

having respect and being responsive in the care of our youngest children. Our aim is to extend the

home atmosphere into the nursery and ensure that the children form positive relationships with staff members.

Our aim is to provide opportunities and resources which will encourage children's natural impulse

to investigate their surroundings by using their senses.
